Taking the name of 'To keep that smile' in 2002 he changed it to 'Nightbird entertainment' in 2004 and Than changed it to Studio Nightbird in 2006. Started off with comic book drawing than to still pictures and still life. Now mastering the Anime style.

Discription:

Been a fan of Anime for a long time and got inspiration from 'Akira' to lern to draw in anime style. Was long till his paper drawings where than drawn in the computer and turned into animations. Started with 3D animations first than onto 2D. He began to share his amagination with others. Trying to get a part in voice acting but fails. Dose small parts in his own flashes (syndacite chapter 1. the guy dieing)

Hello there all. My name is Ricky Worley also known as Studio Nightbird. An I'm from Brisbane Australia. When I was in year 7 I created a simple comic back (non anime style) called 'Kris and Eddy'. A story based on 2 guys wanted to brake a world record. But always wine up getting hurt. All my friends loved it. I would call my allies 'To Keep That Smile'. I came up with other stories like 'Begining of the end' A story of a young girl who is killed in a plane crash but is brought back to fight the a man working for the devil who is planning to kill off mankind. But he takes the form of a boy and they both meet at a school. Not knowning that their enemies they fall in love. Other stories came to me as well. Another one was 'Virmagination" meaning Virtural Amagination. A story of a bunch of guys sucked into the BF Desert combat mod (yea corny i know), and have to fight there way out. I made some of this in 3d max but my skills where way to noob. So I just made it into a simple comic.

This creative hobby of mine became an obsetion, Drawing all day and all night. It was until I was in grade 9 when I got my very first computer. Thats how it all started. I got school assinments like orals and presentation that had to be done in powerpoint. But I got ahold of 3D max . Wile people where making powerpoint presentatoins I was using advanced programs to make my presentations. It wasn't long until I discovered Newgrounds, It was than 1 year later when I got a hold of flash. Like all noobs of flash I made very basic animation. My very first was a rocket landing.


In year 10 my lung collapst 97% which means my lung was the size of a thumb nail. Yes it hurt, baddly. I spent 10 days in hospital. with tubes all over the place in the side of my chest. but during that time I started to think about death. I then thought about the world being hit by a meteor.

I then decided that when I get out, If i get out (i was on the brink of dieing) I would make an animation of a story. I thought of a simple plot of a group of people going up and stopping a meteor. But thats already been done before such as the movies 'deep inpact' and 'Armageddon'. So I thought...what if they failed. What if Mankind had to hide wile their planet was distroyed. Than got even more in. What if some survived but turned to war after. It was from there I formed one of my greatest stories I've ever made. I decided to call it 'Syndacite'. Because My right hand was out of action I had to remember the story by memory.

When I got back home from the place which is now known as the hell part of my life. I got on the computer and began to created Syndacite. Although I was new to animating My skills where no match to make it at the level I wanted it to. I still tryed and made 3 short 1 minute episodes of Syndacite. I uploaded it to newgrounds. But it was blammed. I then stuck around newgrounds under the name Syndacite. 1 year later after lerning to draw I got back at it.

I then started to lern more in flash for a few months. creating animations ment to teach. Building short simple animations and finding short yet good ways to animate. I then made my first animation of a young girl in a world of dreams. This was inspired by the flash 'Pendragon'. I used the mouse and abit of after effects to make this. Not knowing how well it would do on the internet I created a fresh account. changing my name from nightbird entertainment to studio nightbird. This animation was called 'Dreams' I then uploaded it. An people loved it. Even though it was very basic they enjoyed it. This gave me enough insperation to work on another animation.

I than decided to make a great animations. Me and My friends got togeather and came up with a story based on us. At first it would be a live motion picture with special effects. But soon was changed to an animation. I then went off and worked on this animations which was called 'Abnormality' 1 year later of hard work I pulled out. Some would say that was 1 year of me wasting time. I wouldn't say so. During that time I made another animation 'Mums In Heaven'. When I thought i was about to finish I made a trailer. But right after that I pulled out and uploaded what I had to deviantArt.

But like I said. waste of time. No. When I was making that I discover great ways on creating animations. creating 3D movment in a 2D program. how to manage deferent scenes. How to FBF animate. It was from there I joined in some collabs to test my skill. I joined in 2 collaberations. 'White N Nerdy' and 'Power Of Love'. The power of love collab was my first and I took in 4 parts, and people loved them, But the collab was called off due to the amount of artists was low. But the White N Nerdy Collab wasn't. Even though I only took 1 part. It was enough to get more people to know me. 1 Day later I was invited to help out in the 'Beer Collab'. I took it and got even more hits.

Though all that time I found a new program. FL Studios. A music/audio making program, I discoved it thanks to B0unc3. It took me a long long time to get to know it. I lernt that I can't self teach in this programn so ran into some video tutorials on youtube. I than got bord after there was know projects for me to work on. So I started on a few 'Good bye Brother' , 'Lucys stage time' , 'Hentai playground' but gave up. I than started to work on a flash called 'never on your own' this time less on the animation and more on the graphics. half way though production I stopped. Than relised that I now have the skill I need to remake Syndacite. So I did. I started on the planning in my Religion classes and began. opened some Auditions for characters and created new ones. Claire King is the newest character. As well as Geroph and Juliet. I than finished Syndacite chapter 1 4 weeks later.

I submitted it to newgrounds won my 5th portal award. I plan on finishing the Syndacite series. I'm guessing there will be around 7 chapters. Not only that but I do plan on making money out of this. chapter 7 is the end of the series but not of the story. The final chapter which will be called 'Syndacite Final Chapter Last Chance' which will be a full 1 hour and 20 minute 3D max and Photoshop DVD. In that DVD will have all the episodes. Extra features and also extra scenes that I didn't have time to do when making the series. Chapter 1 is missing a good 3 minute action scene that I never did. But thats years away.
